Cobbs, 69, a lifelong resident of Berwick, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Ella was born June 15, 1942 in Berwick, the daughter of Frank B. and Lorena M. Lodrigue Lombas. On September 12, 1959 she was married to Jessie "Captain Red" Cobb and he survives. She was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed cooking and caring for her mother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her wonderful and devoted husband of 52 years, Jessie "Captain Red" Cobbs, of Berwick; her mother, Lorena M. Lombas, of Berwick; five children, Robert Cobbs, of Berwick, Jeannine Barrick and husband Richard, of Berwick, Lisa Chapman and husband Mike, of Berwick, Wendy Adams and husband Kevin, of Patterson, Lois Arceneaux and husband C.J., of Berwick. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gary Lombas, and wife Gail, of Berwick, Lawrence Lombas and wife Josie, of Berwick, Jim Lombas, of Berwick; two sisters, Lila Kash and husband Bruce, of Huntsville, AL, Sandra Aucoin and husband James, of Berwick; numerous nieces and nephews. Ella was preceded in death by her father, Frank B. Lombas; one son, Jessie B. Cobb, Jr.; three grandsons, Michael Chapman, Jr, Christopher Arceneaux, Robert Martin Cobbs; one brother, Bud Lombas; one sister, Deloris Durpauy; one niece, Angela Bertrand; one nephew, E.J. Bertrand. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Hebert officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Ella will be laid to rest in Berwick Cemetery. ===================
