John 'Mike' Michael McDaniel, 49, a native of Morgan City and a resident of New 
Iberia passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Iberia Medical Center.

Mike is survived by his mother, Evelyn Faye Reid McDaniel of Morgan City; his 
two sisters, Tammie Terrebonne of Morgan City and Debra Harrington and her 
husband, Robert, of Morgan City; one nephew, Brandon John Berthelot and his 
wife, Danetta, of Franklinton; two nieces, Ashley Harrington of Morgan City, 
and Taryn Allemond and her husband, Jeremy, of Patterson; and four special 
caregivers: Rita, Cynthia, Brandy, and Rachel.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Colon McDaniel and his sister, 
Cynthia Diane McDaniel.

Mike participated in the Special Olympics, where he won many awards. He enjoyed 
bowling, music, dancing, wrestling, and giving hugs. He especially enjoyed 
playing with his little army figures. Mike also attended Berwick Jr. High where 
he participated in special education.

The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday, November 30, 2011 
from 6pm to 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will 
resume, Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 10am until time of services at Hargrave 
Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mike will be held, Thursday, December 1st at 11am at 
Hargrave Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Kelly and Rev. Charles Gilder of Bayou 
Vista Baptist Church. 
Graveside services will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
