Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1111.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18, 2011, at Ibert's Mortuary at 2:00 PM for Mrs. Lucille Bourliea Tabor, 88, a native and resident of Franklin, who passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at 8:10 PM at the Franklin Health Care Center. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Mrs. Lucille was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, and crocheting. From an early age she struggled with health problems, including polio, which left her crippled, and heart problems later in life. She was determined to accomplish anything she set her mind to, regardless of her physical capabilities. Her courage and independence was an inspiration to her family and friends. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Tabor Charpentier and her husband Sterling (Buster) of Franklin; one sister, Dorothy McNeil of Bay Springs, MS; one brother, Milton Bourliea of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Libby Sullivan and her husband Quince, Sterling (Petey) Charpentier, IV, Larry Charpentier and his wife Chantelle, Angela Gary and her husband Kevin, Billy Tabor, Jr., and Justin Tabor and his wife Jenna, all of Franklin; ten great grandchildren, Jamie and Morgan Sullivan, Katelyn Charpentier, Collin and Carlee Charpentier, Victoria Gary, Billy, Devin, and Jonathan Tabor, and Graci Tabor, all of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raves John Tabor; one son, Billy John Tabor, Sr.; her father, Joseph Bourliea; her mother, Lillian Robicheaux Bourliea; four sisters, Stella McNeil, Agnes Comeaux, Joyce Rousseau, and Jane Gospodinovich; and one brother, Herman Bourliea, Sr. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Ibert's Mortuary from 10:00 AM until time of service, with the rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM Pallbearers will be Larry Charpentier, Sterling (Petey) Charpentier, IV, Sterling (Buster) Charpentier, III, Justin Tabor, Glenn McNeil, and Michael McNeil. Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Bourliea, Billy Tabor, Jr., and Jamie Sullivan. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jesus Chua and staff as well as to the staff of the Franklin Health Care Center for the loving and compassionate care given to Mrs. Lucille.
