Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1112.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Diettra Vance Aucoin, 66, a native of Jennings and a resident of Morgan City passed away, Thursday December 15, 2011 at the Teche Regional Medical Center. Diettra enjoyed spending time with her family, who she deeply loved. She was known for her cooking, especially her delicious chili. Often her family would gather around the meal she prepared especially for them. Diettra was an avid Saints fan, known for cheering loudly for the team as she watched them play. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. Diettra is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Aucoin of Morgan City; five loving children, Renee Scully of Bayou Vista, Annette Aucoin of Morgan City, Larry Aucoin of Morgan City, Karen Thibodeaux and her husband, Carl, of Morgan City, and Dean Aucoin of Morgan City; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, David Vance; her mother, Rosemary Macfarlen Vance; three children, Larry Jr., Lenes, and David Aucoin; one son- in-law, Roger Scully, and one brother, Joemac Macfarlen. The family requests that visitation be observed Monday, December 19, 2011 from 6pm – 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home with visitation resuming Tuesday, December 20th at 9am until time of services. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at 1pm at Hargrave Funeral Home with graveside services following in the Morgan City Cemetery.
