Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1112.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Glen Paul Collins, 64, a native of Houma, and resident of Morgan City, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Glen was born on October 4, 1947 in Houma the son of Charles Clay and Lois Baker Collins. Glen was a man of great integrity with a heart full of love. He never missed a chance to tell a story, share a "zinger," or start a project. One of the happiest times in his life was the year he spent at the John Folse Institute at Nicholls State University. He was also a very proud graduate of St. Mary University in San Antonio, Texas, and held a special devotion to TARC. Survivors include his wife, Marion Chasson Collins, of Morgan City; four children, Jeffrey Streva and wife Nicole, of Morgan City, Amie McTavish and husband Kevin, of Shingle Springs, California, Suzanne Collins, of San Antonio, Texas, Kevin Collins, of Houma, four grandchildren, Jordan Streva, Sydney McTavish, Allie McTavish, Marley Braley; two honorary grandchildren, Katherine Butler, and Jackson Butler. Glen is also survived by two brothers, Charles Collins and wife Jean, of Houma, Tommy Collins and wife Marjorie, of Houma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Clay and Lois Baker Collins; one brother, Mel Collins. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Danny Poche officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Glen will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. Glen and Marion had a great appreciation for the beautification of Morgan City, especially the Crepe Myrtle Tree Project along Federal Avenue.
