Leland was a faithful member of Holy Cross Parish where he served on the Parish Council, Finance Committee, and was a member of the Holy Cross Choir. Leland was a lifetime member of the 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus, as a knight he served as treasurer and Grand Knight. As a member of the St. Mary Parish AARP Leland served as Treasurer, was on the board of directors, and the scholarship committee. Leland was the co-owner of MC Machine Works for 30 years and a 20 year employee of Whitney National Bank. Leland is survived by his daughter Debbie H. Arceneaux, his son-in-law Roger "Ace" Arceneaux. One grandson John Arceneaux and his wife Danielle, two great- grandchildren Katie and Jesse Arceneaux. A sister-in-law Sherrel Landry and her husband Lonnie, 2 nieces Kristi Benninghoff and her husband Glenn, Hope Cowart and her husband David, one great nephew Peyton and one great niece Morgan, 2 cousin, Molly Gros and Chester Pipsair. And a host of relatives, friends, and co-workers. Leland was preceded in death by his wife Alberta G. Henry, his parents Leonie and Agnes Henry, one grandson Marcus Shelby Arceneaux, one brother Robert Henry, and his mother and father-in-law Shelby and Mae Gros. Visitation will be held at Hargrave Funeral Home Monday December 26, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday December 27, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM A mass of Christian Burial will held at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 1:00 PM. Leland will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum. ===================
