Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1112.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Cecile Enola Gaspard Laster, 80, a native of Cow Island and a resident of Bayou Vista, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. Cecile is survived by her son, Marshall Lee Laster of Bayou Vista; three daughters, Tammie Arceneaux and her husband, Numa, of Thibodaux, Carol Sealine and her husband, Steve, of Bayou Vista, Sonya Laster of Bayou Vista; one sister, Learline David and her husband, Harris, of Kaplan; six grandchildren, Joshua Arceneaux, Sara Sealine, Jonathan Sealine, Crystal Eubanks, Victoria Boone, and Katie Boone and one great grandson, Zackary Eubanks. Cecile was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, mamaw, and great mamaw. She loved her family immensely, as they also loved her. Her family was the joy of her life. Cecile loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a longtime member of Bayou Vista Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Warren Lee Laster; one daughter, Cheryl Lynn Boone; her father, Marcial Gaspard; her mother Enola Simon Gaspard; two brothers, Lawrence Gaspard and Dominic Melvin Gaspard; and two sisters, Isabelle Friou and Theresa Abshire. The family requests that visitation be observed Sunday, December 4th from 6pm to 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will resume, Monday, December 5th from 9am until time of services at Hargrave Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 5th at 11am at Hargrave Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Kelly and Rev. Charles Gilder officiating. Graveside Services will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
