Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1112.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services honoring the life of Henry Gerald Louviere, Sr., 75, will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin. A Jeanerette native, former longtime resident of Franklin, and a resident of Baton Rouge for the past eight years, who passed away at his home on Sunday, December 25, 2011, with his family at his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Deacon Gerald Bourg will officiate the services. Henry was a 1954 graduate of Franklin High School, a veteran of the United States Air Force, a retired State Trooper with the LA State Police, and a former Chief of Police for the Franklin Police Dept. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Antoinette Marie Rodriguez Louviere of Baton Rouge; two children, H. Gerald Louviere, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Lewisville, TX and Jeanne L. Herry and her husband David of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, Brian and Patrick Herry of Baton Rouge, Brennan, Taylor, and Emma Louviere of Lewisville, TX; three sisters, Laura Leleux of New Iberia, Rose Jolet of Lydia, and Eva Bordelon of Cottonport; one brother, Robert Louviere of Orange Park, FL; and his mother-in-law, Irma Rodriguez of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney Louviere and Virginia Landry Louviere. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Retina Foundation of the Southwest, 9900 North Central Expressway, Suite 400, Dallas, TX, 75231 or to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70806. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Ibert's Mortuary from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. with the rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service. The Louviere family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Gerald Miletello, M.D., Peggy-Jo Jones, N.P., and Hospice of Baton Rouge for their care and support.
