Entombment will follow in Franklin’s Stirling Cemetery. Father Charles Langlois will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, at 11:30 a.m., until time of service at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd. in New Iberia. Born on November 17, 1912 at Ricohoc, Mrs. Stromer was the daughter of Harry and Corrine Landry Adams and the oldest of nine children. She wore many hats throughout her life: devoted wife, mother, housewife, sales associate, gardener and friend. She was a woman who lived life her way relishing each moment especially those on the dance floor. She offered wise words, which she followed, to her grandson at his down moment, “Do not regret the past; move on; look to the future. When asked once about her success with flowers, she replied, “When I stick them in the soil, I tell them you’d better grow or I’ll pull you out of there.” It must have worked, as her thumb was surely green. Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Jones Bienvenu and husband, Ronald, of New Iberia and Anne Jones Breaux and husband, Paul, of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Leah Guilbeau and husband, Cecil; Lisa Bienvenu, Bryan Bienvenu and wife, Shannon; Jason Breaux and James Breaux; three great grandchildren, Riley and Grace Bienvenu and Julia Guilbeau; brother, Darrell Adams of Houston and sister, Amy Champagne of Luling; and sister-in-law, Thelma “Butch” Adams; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stromer was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Jones and Conrad Stromer; brothers, Sidney Adams and Benny Adams; and sisters, Ione Roberts, “Billy” Bigler and Blanche Stoufflett. Pallbearers include Bryan Bienvenu, James Breaux, Ronald Bienvenu, Paul Breaux, Cecil Guilbeau and Mac Stromer. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Breaux and Vin Chappuis. Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia is in charge of arrangements. ===================
