TERRY, CURTIS DAVID “C.D.” 

Curtis David “C.D.” Terry, 83, of Lake Charles died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at 
his home following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Johnson 
Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Charles. 
Interment will be at Consolata Cemetery. 
Rev. Rick Treece will officiate. 

Visitation will be today, Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 
continues Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

C.D. was born June 29, 1928, in Waldo, Ark. In April 1966 he, along with 
partners, opened Spanish Trail Arms Inc. in Morgan City. C.D. served his 
country in the U.S. Army. His overseas duty was spent in Germany. His hobbies 
included oil painting, photography, fishing, hunting, and gun collecting. He 
was a member of the Colt Collectors Association and served in various positions 
throughout the years. He attended many gun and knife shows across the country 
and won many awards for his creative displays and collections. He enjoyed 
traveling and spending time with family.

Mr. Terry was the son of the late Warren David Terry and the former Mary Ann 
Cusic.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Dorothy Mere Terry of Lake Charles; 
four daughters, Kathy T. Trahan and companion Clay Broussard of Morgan City, 
Linda T. Hebert and her husband Keith of Morgan City, Patricia T. Martin and 
her husband Albert of Georgetown, Texas, and Lisa T. Martarona and her husband 
John of Carencro; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Martin, Carmen Hebert Cheralla, 
Michelle Hebert Stelly, Lindsay Martin Whitehead, and Laurie, Ashley and 
Alexandra Martarona; two great-grandchildren, Luke Martin and Bradley Cheralla; 
and one brother, Jackie Terry of Hattiesburg, Miss.

His extended family included Jim Allee and his wife Barbara, Ruth Connor and 
her husband Clyde, Lenny Allee and his wife Kim, Pam Godley and her husband 
Bill, and Benny Allee and his wife Marianne; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-
grandchildren, all of Lake Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents Warren “Jack” and Mary Terry; one 
sister, Virginia Lee Youngblood; and a son-in-law, Mike Trahan.
