Lola M. Darby, age 75, a resident of Franklin died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 
8:32 AM at her residence.

Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2012 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, 
La., from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 
at Special Providence in Baldwin, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral at 1:00 PM. 
Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery.

The service she rendered while here on earth shall never be forgotten, but will 
remain forever a memorial to a life well lived. She led a spiritual life of 
extraordianary grace, courage and strength. She leaves behind a family filled 
with a heart of thanksgiving and grateful appreciation for our LORD and Savior 
Jesus Christ for having shared Lola Mae Green Darby with them of 75 years.

Lola leaves to cherish her fond memories; six sons, Jerry Carl Darby, Michael 
Wayne Darby and Jerome (Monica) Darby all of Franklin, La., Terry (Jackie) Darby 
of Broussard, Craig Darby and Joseph Earl Darby both of Austin, TX; seven 
daughters, Jennie Louise Darby and Alice Faith (Anthony) Williams, Marsha Ann 
Green and Linda Marie (Don, Sr.) Moreaux all of Franklin, La., Lola Mae Darby 
and Pauline Elizabeth (Charles Jr.) Watkins both of Austin, TX., Mable Louise 
(Darrell) Wilbert of Round Rock, TX; three sisters, Geraldine (Lester) Green of 
Austin, TX., Carolyn (Herman) Porter and Mable Green both of Las Vegas, NV; four 
brothers, AJ Green, Sr., and Beuford (Magdalena) Green both of Las Vegas, NV., 
Isaiah Green and Murphy Green both of Patterson, La; a sister-in-law, Sara B. 
Darby of Franklin, La., 29 grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two 
godchildren, Lana Porter of Shreveport and Wendell Keith Green of San Antonia, 
TX., a devoted Caretaker, Veronica "Dell" Shaw; faithful friends, Eld. & Mrs. 
Donald R. Lanceslin, Sr., Eld. & Mrs. Charles C. Watkins, Sr., Eld. & Mrs. David 
Thomas, Sr., Dr. & Mrs. James W. Procter and Dorothy Gordon and a host of 
nieces, nephews, relatives, extended sons and daughters, church family and many 
other special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Paulton Darby, her parents, 
Charlie (Mable) Green, a son, PFC Paul Darby, one granddaughter, Prudence 
Monique Darby, one brother, Jerry Green; three sisters, Eloise Barnett, Essie 
Green & Stella Vaughn and her grandparents.
