Barbara was born in Lewiston, Maine, and was a resident of Berwick. She was a long-time employee of Morgan City Bank and Trust Co. She was a devoted Catholic who was faithful to her weekly hour of adoration. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Hackett; her stepfather, Roland Hackett; her father, Joseph Foisy; a younger sister, Joanne Foisy; and a granddaughter, Emily Carolyn Lovell. Barbara is survived by her three children, Carrine Lovell Anderson of Lafayette, Deirdre Lovell DiMaggio and husband Gregory of Powder Springs, Ga., and Eric Lovell and wife Kimberly of Pensacola, Fla. Her precious grandchildren, Adrianna Anderson, Aiden Anderson, Aimee Renee DiMaggio, Ian DiMaggio, Zachary Lovell and Kaylee Lovell also survive her. She leaves four brothers and one sister, Robert Foisy and wife Annette, William Foisy and wife Beth, Richard Foisy, Raymond Hackett and Cindy Brennan and husband Craig, as well as many nieces and nephews. Barbara was multi-talented and enjoyed crafts. She could sew, knit, crochet, do needlepoint, create ceramics, and make porcelain dolls and rosaries. She enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and was generous with her handmade gifts. Barbara requested her final resting place be alongside her mother Anna in Lewiston, Maine. She will be sorely missed by her family and devoted friends who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Barbara’s name to St. Jude Hospital or the American Cancer Society. A memorial service and visitation will be held at St. Bernadette Church in Bayou Vista on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at 10 a.m. ===================
