Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2012/sm1201.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Margaret Gorman Rappmundt, 83, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Margaret was born on February 3, 1928 in Morgan City the daughter of Thomas Francis Gorman and Susan E. Smith. Margaret was the owner and operator of Whit-Mar Fashions for nearly twenty-five years. She had a love of genealogy and with city and parish history and along with Alvin Brizzard, of Las Vegas, Nevada, they published books about the history of Morgan City and St. Mary Parish. Survivors include a son, Paul T. Rappmundt and wife Teresa of Morgan City; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Francis Gorman and Susan E. Smith Gorman; husband Paul D. Rappmundt; five brothers; one sister. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. John Locascio and Rev. Steve Porter officiating. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Margaret will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church Organ Fund in Margaret's name, c/o Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church 517 Federal Avenue, Morgan City, Louisiana 70380. ===================
