Visitation was held Sunday, Feb. 12, beginning at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m., at David Funeral Home of Erath and resumed on Monday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church until 30 minutes prior to service time. Entombment followed services at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Stella May Landry Boudreaux, 91, passed away on February 9, 2012 in Valdosta, Georgia where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law. Born in Freeport, Texas on April 10, 1929, she grew up in Erath and married her school sweetheart. The couple lived in Franklin 35 years, where Dr. Chet practiced Optometry. Stella was known for her generous hospitality and love of life. All who knew her, loved her. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Ladies Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Chestin J. Boudreaux Jr. of Port Allen; a daughter, Diane B. Cox and her husband, Nolen, of Valdosta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Stephanie Cox Coop and her husband, Robert, of Valdosta, Georgia; Jason N. Cox, M.D., of Adel, Georgia; Lauri B. Louviere and her husband, Dwayne, of Jeanerette; Kristy Boudreaux of Baton Rouge; and Michelle Boudreaux of Port Allen; nine great grandchildren, Ivy Coop Asbury and her husband, Brett; Beatrice Coop, Lanie White, Luke Louviere, Olivia Cox, Will Cox, Catie Cox, Jackson Cox and Chloe Cox. Mrs. Boudreaux was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Dr. Chestin J. Boudreaux Sr.; an infant daughter, Rosalind Ann; her parents, Roger Landry and Annette Brasseaux Landry; a brother, Harges Landry and daughter-in-law, Agnes Bodin Boudreaux. Dwayne Louviere, Robert Coop, Todd Van Norden, David Schexnayder, Calvin Boudreaux Jr. and Nathan Granger served as pallbearers.
