Gordon served in the United States Army. Visitation will be Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson, La., from 8:00 AM until funeral at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the Ibert's Cemetery. Gordon leaves to cherish his memories; his mother, Geraldine Gobert Verdun of Patterson, La; seven brothers, Johnny (Celita) Verdun, Mario (Audrey) Verdun, Chucky Verdun, Robert Verdun, Craig (Marion) Verdun and Laverne Verdun all of Patterson, La., and Charles Miller of Lake Charles, La; five sisters, Mrs. Alex (Joann) Labry, Mrs. Anthony (Jessie) Decuir, Mrs. Shelleta Clay, Mrs. Donnez Thompson and Mrs. Mary Jo Lopez all of Patterson, La; one godchild, Chasity Bourgeois, and a host of relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, James Verdun, maternal and paternal grandparents, George and Zenobia Taylor Gobert and Robert and Lillian St. Julian Verdun, a brother, Tony Verdun. ===================
