Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2012/sm1203.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption for Rhoda Mayea Boudreaux, 62, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 9:50 AM at her home. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the service. Rhoda was a very loving and generous person who always put other's needs before her own. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Assumption Hand Bell Choir, the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel and was an avid reader. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Richard James Boudreaux of Franklin; Emmie Forestier and her husband Chad of Franklin; two grandsons, Trent and Sean Forestier of Franklin; five siblings, Nora Jones and her husband Herman of Franklin, Elaine Savoie and her husband Tommy of Gibson, Byron Mayea and his wife Cindy of Franklin, Chad Mayea and his wife Andrea of Franklin, and Melissa LeBlanc and her husband Clyde of Jeanerette; aunts and uncles, Malcolm Hebert of Franklin, Betty and Gerald Falterman of Franklin, Uric Rogers of Franklin, and Anna Hebert of Franklin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Joyce Hebert Mayea; her father and mother-in-law, Aldon and Victorine Bourgeois Boudreaux; one sister, Shelly Mayea; uncles, Olden Hebert and Beldon Hebert, Jr.; and an aunt, Vuearlee Rogers. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visiting will resume Tuesday at 9:00 AM until dismissal time at 12:30 PM. Pallbearers will be Derek Mayea, Nick Mayea, Clyde LeBlanc Sr., Byron Mayea, Chad Mayea, Chad Forestier, Trent Forestier, and Sean Forestier. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donation be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
