He was a graduate of Franklin High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, member of the American Legion, active longstanding member of First United Methodist Church in Franklin and active for many years in a Mardi Gras crew. He loved the outdoors and travel. He loved to build things. He worked for Blevins Motor Company as general manager for 38 years and was then a sheriff’s deputy with St. Mary Parish for 14 years. Mr. Broussard’s body was donated to LSU. A memorial will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Steven McPherson, Journey Hospice Southwest Louisiana and Franklin Healthcare Facility & Rehabilitation Center staff. He is survived by his wife of many years, Agnes Broussard; daughter, Stephanie and son-in-law, Charles Pillaro; three grandchildren, Paul, Jeremy and Brook; and five great grandchildren, Devon, Avery, Maddox, Sonia and Saige. Boyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. ===================
