Irene Matte "Mom-Net" Courville, a resident of Morgan City, passed away today, 
Friday, March 30, 2012, at the age of 84.

Irene was the most amazing lady that anyone would have had the honor of 
knowing. 
Irene was a wonderful cook and she was at her best when it came time for Sunday 
lunch after Mass. 
She was the best wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 
Irene was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.


Irene is survived by her six daughters, Priscilla Lynn Bellard of Lake Charles, 
Judy Morrissey and her husband Tommy of Lake Charles, Janice Rayne and her 
husband Lance of Spring, Texas, Denise Goodman and her husband Dwight of 
Mobile, Ala., Becky Vining and her husband David of Morgan City, and Annette 
McNemar and her husband Allen of Katy, Texas; her brother, C.J Matte and his 
wife Bertha of Branch, Texas; and her grandchildren, David Bellard and his wife 
Ruthie, Billy Bellard and his wife Mona, John Morrissey, Jill Morrissey, 
Michelle Pellegrin and her husband Darrell, Brandon Rayne, Danielle Causey and 
her husband Dr.Drew, Hillary Goodman, Benjamin Vining, Hunter Vining, Mark 
McNemar and his wife Gina, and Beth McNemar; her great-grandson, Gage 
Pellegrin; extended family members, Janet Smith, Lisa Hebert, Mac and Myrt 
McNemar, Laurie Vining, Lily Herbert and Libby Ledet; and her faithful 
companion, her dog Gracie.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Fred William Courville; 
her parents, Willis Matte and Orelia Thibodeaux Matte; her daughter, JoAnne 
Courville; her grandson, Ross Henry McNemar; her son-in-law, Richard Dale 
Bellard; and her sisters, Aline Matte and Cecile Matte.

Visitation will be today, Friday, March 30, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
and resumes Saturday, March 31 from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 
a.m. 
Irene will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearer will be C.J.
"Na-Nonk" Matte.

Special thanks for the excellent care and special services provided by Maison 
Jardin, Dr. Albert, Journey Hospice, Teche Regional Hospital Emergency Room and 
the 6th floor nurses, and the Rev. Gregg Fratt.
