Josephine "Fena" Canty LaCoste, 82, a native and a past resident of Berwick and 
a lifelong resident of Ricohoc passed away, Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Teche 
Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her loving son, Elmer 'Mike' Michael LaCoste of Ricohoc; two 
loving daughters, Monica Gallipeau and her husband, Donald, of DeRidder, and 
Tilse Fuselier of Ricohoc; 10 grandchildren, Azure Smith, Joshua Gallipeau, 
Sarah Gallipeau, Becky Gill, Timothy Gallipeau, Ericka McClain, Dusty 
Gallipeau, Shanna Malone, Shayne LaCoste, and Shamus LaCoste 16 great 
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer LaCoste, her father, George 
Edward Canty Sr.; her mother, Sidney Estelle Grow Canty; two brothers, George 
Edward Canty Jr., and Carl Canty; and two sisters, Geraldine Canty, and Mary 
Gallier.

Fena was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother. 
She loved her family, she loved fishing, hunting and trapping with her husband. 
She was a good cook, the best there was according to her family. 
She loved the Lord.

The family requests that visitation be observed Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 
6:00pm to 10:00pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City with a rosary being 
prayed at 7pm. 
Visitation will resume, Monday, April 2, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 
from 8am until time of services.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held April 2, 2012 at 10am at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church with 
interment following in the Berwick Mausoleum.
