Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Joseph LeBlanc Sr., 76, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel, with Fr. Lloyd Benoit Jr. officiating. Interment will follow the services at Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. and will resume on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 8 a.m. until service time. A native and resident of Franklin, Mr. LeBlanc passed away at 11:58 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at his residence. He worked for the Department of Transportation and Development and retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed going to the casino and doing carpentry work. Mr. LeBlanc also loved music, dancing and trying to play his guitar. He is survived by the mother of his children, Ella Mae L. LeBlanc; his daughter, Jackie Girard and husband, Clayton, of New Iberia; six sons, Tommy LeBlanc and companion, Sherry Puckett, of New Iberia; Dickie LeBlanc and wife, Dianne, of New Iberia; Harry LeBlanc and wife, Vicki, of Coteau; Allen LeBlanc and wife, Brenda; Timmy LeBlanc and companion, Bernice; and Kernie LeBlanc and wife, Donna, all of New Iberia; 13 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Gussie Viator of New Iberia; and his companion’s children, Kent Comeaux, Danny Comeaux and Brad Comeaux, all of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis LeBlanc and Evelyn Crochet LeBlanc; his longtime companion, Lois Comeaux; three brothers, Junius LeBlanc, Floyd LeBlanc and Jay LeBlanc; three sisters, Clara Mills, Helen Baker and Penna Bridges; and two grandchildren, Joey LeBlanc and Jenna Girard. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy LeBlanc, Dickie LeBlanc, Harry LeBlanc, Allen LeBlanc, Timmy LeBlanc and Kernie LeBlanc.
