Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2012/sm1203.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== James 'Jimmy' Loupe, 81, a native and lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Teche Regional Medical Center while surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Verlie Angelloz Loupe of Morgan City; four loving daughters, Darlene Loupe Castay and her husband, Howard, of Morgan City, Diane Loupe Irwin and her husband, Dan, of Morgan City, Angela Loupe Rapp and her husband, Larry Rapp Sr., of Metairie, and Catherine Loupe Cali and her husband, Chip, of Patterson; his brother, Donald Loupe and his wife, Karen, of Morgan City; seven grandchildren, Jason and John Arceneaux, James and David Irwin, Larry Jr. and Christopher Rapp, and Mary Frances Cali; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lionel John Loupe and his mother, Louise Marie Berthelot Loupe. Jimmy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a hard worker, having owned Loupe Brothers Shell Station for over 25 years. Jimmy enjoyed making rosaries. All of his rosaries were hand made for the Confraternity of Our Lady Star of the Sea. Through Jimmy's tireless efforts, his rosaries made their way to strengthen the faith of Catholics throughout the world. Jimmy ensured that each Holy Cross student was given a rosary. The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, March 27th from 8:00am until time of services at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City with a rosary being prayed at 9:45am. A Mass of Christian burial will take place, Tuesday, March 27th at 11am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City with Father Danny Poche officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jimmy's name to: Holy Cross Elementary and Central Catholic High School. ===================
