Whitney Miller officiating. Burial followed in the Shell Beach Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation was held Sunday, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m., and on Monday, from 8 a.m. to time of services. A Scripture Service led by the Rev. Miller was held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Martin Died at 6:10 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a native of Hillsboro, Texas and a resident of Lake Arthur for 60 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and an active member of the Catholic Daughters for over 50 years. Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Sanders and husband, Allen, of Baldwin; Bridget Martin of Lake Charles; and Celestine Angelle and husband, Frank, of Jennings; one son, Michael Martin and wife, Debbie, of Hong Kong; one sister, Hazel Hanning of Fort Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren, Benjamin Martin, Jeremy Martin, Christopher Sanders, Joshua Sanders, Samuel Sanders, Jonathan Sanders, Jill Angelle and Jodi Angelle; and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn and Mary Hughes Norman; her husband, LeRoy Martin; and two brothers, James C. and Wilburn Norman. ===================
