Mrs. Edna Williams Maxie, 61, a resident of Four Corners and native of Gulfport, Mississippi, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at 6:10 a.m., at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Willie Maxie Sr. of Four Corners; mother, Florence Harts Williams of Gulfport; two sons, Freddie Arceneaux Jr. of Gulfport and Raymond Anthony Williams of Franklin; one daughter, Irma Denise Arceneaux of Gulfport; three brothers, Charles Williams Jr. and Walter Williams of Gulfport and Hubert Williams of Dallas, Texas; five sisters, Shirley Brown and Geneva Reed of Gulfport, Martha Jones of Lafayette, Earnestine Joseph of St. Martinville and Tahirih Burrell of Franklin; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Maxie was preceded in death by her father, one son, two sisters and one brother. Visitations will be observed Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church in Ashton. Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. Ulysses Mitchell Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Ashton. The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations ===================
