Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2012/sm1203.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin for Shirley Ann Crochet Migues, 76, a native of Loreauville and longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 1:20 AM at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Thomas Vu will officiate the services. Shirley was a loving person who enjoyed the outdoors, wildflowers, and was an avid gardener. She was always ready to help anyone in need, right to the very end. She was extremely dedicated to her family and friends, loved to have company, and was always a gracious hostess. She was also an animal lover who hated to see animals suffer, and even took in a bunch of homeless cats. She leaves behind seven siblings; three brothers, Elie Crochet and his wife Edmae, Paul Crochet and his wife Audrey, and Herman Crochet; and four sisters, Annie Mae Breaux, Elvidge Rita Crochet, Mary Theriot and her husband, Alvoid, and Elizabeth "Beth" Younger and her husband Floyd; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph "Joe" Migues; four brothers, Emmette Joseph Crochet, Sr., Murphy E. Crochet, Sr., Edward J. Crochet, Sr., and Gilbert "Mickey" Crochet; and her parents, Gilbert Crochet, Sr. and Elizabeth Dupuis Crochet. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. The mortuary will reopen Saturday at 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Harold Blanchard, Brian Blanchard, Billy Norris, Jamie Norris, John Fitch, Jr., Troy LaRive, and Christopher LaRive. Honorary pallbearer will be Dennis Rivette. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main St., Franklin, LA ===================
