Officiating will be Fr. Mark Franklin. Interment will follow at Minden Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 29, 2012, 5-7 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. George was born Feb. 4, 1918, in Morgan City and entered into rest March 26, 2012, in Minden. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of C&W Hunting Club. His wife, Mildred Aucoin Vining, and five brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, George A. Vining Jr. and wife Linda of Patterson; daughters, Mary Ann LaCoste and husband Sterling of Patterson, Stella Robicheaux of Morgan City, Isabelle Lee of Minden, Ella Marie Cook and husband Rex of Houston, and Judy Gussman and husband Arnold of Morgan City; a sister, Mabel Vining of Patterson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Mr. Vining was cared for during the last years by his granddaughter, Karen Hamilton, and close friend Kathy Davis. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 211 Murrell Street, Minden, is in charge of arrangements. ===================
