Mildred was born in Dallas, Texas in 1926 and remained in Texas until moving to Louisiana in 1994. Mildred is survived by two sons, Gaylon Wilburn of Ferris, Texas, and Terry Wilburn and his wife, Carita, of Berwick; two daughters, Glenda Stock of Alexandria, Louisiana and Ronda Bonenfant and her husband, Guy, of Patterson, Louisiana; four brothers, Prentice Sample and his wife, Odell, of Dreka, Texas, Doug Sample and his wife, Myrtle, of Pittsburg, Texas, Donald Sample and his wife, Delores, of Quitman, Texas, and Ronald Sample and his wife, Debra, of Jasper, Texas; one sister, Lorelei Sample of Center, Texas; five grandchildren, Deanna Sampey of Gibson, Louisiana, Kevin Wilburn of Ferris, Texas, Brandon Brown and his wife, Patricia, of Berwick, Monica Brown of Morgan City, Samuel Wilburn of Berwick; and seven great grandchildren, Trey Allen of Arlington, Texas, Blayne Brown of Berwick, Cade Brown of Berwick, Gabrielle Brown of Berwick, Connor Ho of Morgan City, Ava Ho of Morgan City, and Bella Ho of Morgan City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Ray "Pete" Wilburn; her parents, Willie and May Sample, and her son-in-law, David Stock. Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In her younger days she loved working in her yard, antique shopping, and cooking. All that knew Mildred will miss her storytelling of her four children, of whom she was so very proud. Mildred will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children and by all the people whose lives she touched. Viewing will be at Bethel Pentecostal Fellowship of Patterson Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 2pm to 3pm with funeral services immediately following. Funeral visitation and services will continue Monday, April 23, 2012 under the direction of Mangum Funeral Home of Center, Texas. Burial will be held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Center, Texas following funeral services on Monday.
