Kenneth Anthony Marcel Sr., 57, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012, at his residence. Kenneth was born Jan. 14, 1955, in Brownsville, Texas, and was a resident of Alvin for 38 years. He worked construction as a carpenter, was a member of Heights Baptist Church in Alvin and served in the United States Marine Corps. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Dinger, and sister, Gwen Dinger. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Nadine Marcel of Alvin; his father, Raymond Marcel Sr. of Lake Livingston, Texas; his mother, Dora Marcel of Morgan City; a daughter, Cibyl Andorf and husband Danny of Morgan City; a son, Kenneth Anthony Marcel Jr. and wife Jackie of Manvel, Texas; his sisters, Jeanie Sistrunk and husband Rudy of Panama City, Fla., and Janelle Robert and husband Roger of Lafayette; his brothers, Raymond Marcel Jr. and wife Nancy of Berwick, Danny Marcel and wife Crystal of Patterson, and David Dinger and wife Marie of Morgan City; his grandchildren, Brelin Andorf and Trystan Andorf, Chad Ross Jr. of Patterson, Haven Marcel, Lyla Marcel and Avery Marcel of Manvel, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Heights Baptist Church, County Road 144, Alvin, Texas 77511. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
