Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2012/sm1204.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Memorial services for Edgar "Ed" Aaron Pearson, Jr. will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 11:00 AM at New Day Church, 3469 South Greensburg Road, Liberty, MS 39645, with fellowship following. Ed, 67, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and longtime resident of Liberty, MS, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012, at Franklin Foundation Hospital in Franklin, LA. Pastor Rick Hall and Pastor Burnett Carraway will officiate the services. A private burial will be held at a later date. Ed was a good, kind-hearted man who loved his family and enjoyed helping others. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. A graduate of Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge, LA, he attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA, where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He also attended Tulane University and Louisiana State University at New Orleans. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, as well as a member of the Marine Reserves for six years. He worked for many years in the chemical and oil industries in Louisiana as an Offshore Equipment Supervisor and Consultant. He was also the owner and operator of a specialty welding fabrication business. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Janie Brennan Pearson of Liberty, MS; four children, Sherri Pearson of Baton Rouge, LA, Trey Pearson of Hammond, LA, Kassie Pearson of Baton Rouge, LA, and Robert Pearson of Liberty, MS; one brother, Lawrence "Larry" Pearson and his wife Jennie of Springfield, LA; four grandchildren, Austin Nicole Rollins and Ryan Connor Rollins of Baton Rouge, LA, Waylon Kyle Decker of Meadville, MS, and Kylea June Pearson of Liberty, MS. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Aaron Pearson, Sr.; and his mother, Edith Irma Wilson.
