Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2012/sm1205.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== John Wallace Clinton, a life-time resident of Bayou L'ourse, loving family man, and World War II veteran, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 8th at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. John was the husband of the late Dorothy Vonda Clinton. He was born in Mt. Enterprise, Texas to the late Joe and Thelma Clinton on August 11th of 1927. John worked at Chevron until retirement. He was a devoted employee who believed in working hard. After retirement, he worked at Rouses and made lasting friendships. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Many of his family members will have lasting memories of good times spent at the camp. They tell stories of fun times and great food that always ends in a card game. Other than good food and fun with family, John also enjoyed keeping a garden and fishing. John was a World War II United States Army Veteran, he was stationed in Germany as a Military Police Officer He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Clinton; mother, Thelma Clinton; wife, Dorothy Clinton; two sons, Paul and Carl Clinton; stepson, Danny Johnson, and great grand daughter Kandiss Richard. John is survived by; his son, Charles Clinton and his wife, Kay, of Patterson; daughter, Connie Peebles and special friend, Zack, of Gonzales; and step son, Bobby Johnson and his wife, Pat, of Gray. John will also be remembered by his six grandchildren; Kristie Garner, Lisa Ingram, David Clinton, Bobby Johnson Jr., Katie Landry, and Debra Richard, as well as fourteen great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 10th from 6pm to 8pm Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation and funeral services will continue under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville on Saturday, May 12th. ===================
