She was a native and resident of Houma. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 6, 2012, 5-9 p.m., at Chauvin Funeral Home and Monday, May 7, 2012, from 9 a.m. until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Burial will follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery 2. Connie is survived by her husband, Kevin Ghirardi; a daughter, Samantha Bland; her mother, Carolyn LeBlanc Thibodeaux; a brother, Lonnie Thibodeaux and wife Regina and children Kaitlyn, Kyler and Landon; a sister, Monica Thibodeaux Rousse and husband Daryl Rousse and children Hannah and Madison; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Debbie and Rene Ghirardi and son Patrick Ghirardi and DeAnne Clark; mother-in-law, Diane Carline Bridges; a sister-in-law, Gina Ghirardi Wier and husband Allan and children Diana and Jake Wier; and extended family, Deron, Leslie and Duncan Bland. She was preceded in death by her father, Roland Joseph Thibodeaux; and her grandparents, Ivy and Audrey LeBlanc and Andrew and Edna Thibodeaux. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. She spent 20 years in local banking, but most rewarding were the last 10 years of her life, which were spent teaching at St. Francis Cathedral School. The family wishes to thank everyone who cared for Connie during her illness, including physicians, nurses, aides, therapists and all those who touched her life, and especially Rose and Errol Cuneo.
