HAYDEL, LAWRENCE THOMAS 
Dec. 26, 2011 ~ May 24, 2012

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, May 29, at 2 p.m., at the 
Church of the Assumption in Franklin for Lawrence Thomas Haydel, 4 months old, 
who passed away at 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Franklin Foundation 
Hospital.

Lawrence was born in New Iberia on December 26, 2011 to Torrey Benjamin Haydel 
and Becky Bodin Haydel. In addition to his parents, Lawrence is survived by his 
sister, Carolee Anne Haydel; grandparents, Thomas Bodin Sr. and Patrice Bodin, 
Robbi C. Naquin and Barry Naquin and Crandall Haydel and Connie Haydel; great 
grandparents, Beverly (Woogie) Concienne, Bolden P. Bodin Sr., Bennett Mello 
and Rita Borel, all of Franklin; one uncle, Thomas Bodin Jr. of Jeanerette; one 
aunt, Kayla H. Segura of Lafayette; godparents, Marcus Segura of Lafayette and 
Jill Gianfala of Baldwin; as well as numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Sitges and Verdie Haydel, 
Charles Ray Concienne Sr. and Beatrice Bodin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at the Church of the 
Assumption, from 11 a.m. until time of Mass at 2 p.m., with the rosary being 
prayed at 1:30 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Bodin Jr., Marcus Segura, Shannon Derouen 
and Michael Gianfala. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Sonnier Sr. and Thad 
Gianfala.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin.
