KELLER, JOSEPH O., SR.

September 14, 1944 — May 26, 2012

On Saturday, May 26, 2012, Joseph O. Keller Sr. passed away after a long and 
courageous battle with cancer at his residence in Patterson, surrounded by his 
loving family.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 48 years, Linda G. Keller; 
two sons, Joseph Andrew Keller and his wife Pamela of Rifle, Colo., and Joseph 
O. Keller Jr. and his wife Lesley of Patterson; one daughter, Jo Lynn Lewis and 
husband Tim of Patterson; five grandchildren, Brittany R. Keller, Joseph O. 
Keller III, Joseph Andrew Keller Jr., Leland G. Keller and Wendel L. Keller; 
one great-grandchild, Hayven A. Keller; two sisters, Rose Mary Bernard and 
Elizabeth K. Carbonell of Patterson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and 
dear friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Steven C. Keller; his parents, Leola and 
A.J. Keller and Bess and Floyd Newby; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, 
Rachel and Dudley Gaspar; and two nephews, Robert G. Sellers and Michael R. 
Carbonell Sr.

Visitation will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 
9-11 a.m. At 11 a.m. a Masonic service provided by Lafayette Lodge 87 and Doric 
Lodge 205 will be held with a service of Christian burial to follow with the 
Rev. Vernon Fairley officiating. 
Interment will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Andrew Keller Sr., Joseph O. Keller Jr., Joseph O. 
Keller III, Joseph Andrew Keller Jr., Leland G. Keller, Wendel L. Keller and 
Timothy Lewis.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert P. Blereau, Bayou Home Care, and his 
favorite nurse Jessica “The Girl” for all the care and support they gave.
