PORCHE, MARJORIE 

Marjorie Porche, 91, a native and resident of Gibson, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, 
at 5:45 a.m.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2012, 6-9 p.m., at Chauvin Funeral Home 
Inc., and continue Wednesday, May 9, 2012, 9-11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic 
Church. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 11 
a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Chacahoula. 
Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Gibson.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Porche McGlothin and husband Dennis 
of Dallas, and Kay Porche Thibodeaux of Houma; her grandchildren, Melissa 
Burnett Bergeron and husband Chad and Ryan Burnett; her great-grandchildren, 
Reece Bergeron and Grant Bergeron; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph Porche Jr.; her 
parents, Daniel and Clysse McIntire; a son, Edward Joseph Porche III; three 
brothers, Klein McIntire, Carroll McIntire and Johnny McIntire; two sisters, 
Margaret McIntire Authement and Clysse McIntire Bourgeois; and a son-in-law, 
Joseph Thibodeaux Jr.

She was a member/parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a former 
employee of the Terrebonne Parish School District.

Marge was an example of love, kindness, and generosity to all who knew her. Her 
selflessness was epitomized by her good deeds and lifelong commitment to 
serving others. Her presence in our lives was God’s blessing to us all.

Chauvin Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
