All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= NOTE: If a Photo is available for an obituary record, a reference note will be included with the record. ======================================================================= ROGERS, EMILY LORMAND April 26, 1910 ~ May 16, 2012 Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Mrs. Emily Lormand Rogers, 102, a native of Cecilia, longtime former resident of Franklin, and a resident of New Iberia for the past eight years, who went home to her Lord on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at 7:15 a.m., at her daughter’s home in New Iberia. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. The Reverend Father Kenneth J. Domingue, Pastor of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, will officiate the services. Survivors include two sons, Daniel Rogers of Breaux Bridge, and C. J. Rogers and his wife Sylvia (Pounie) of Scott; three daughters, Velma R. Belanger and her husband, Robert, of Jeanerette, Loretta R. Clements and her companion, Jimmy L. Romero, of New Iberia, and Ann R. Trahan and her husband, Jessie, of Kaplan; one daughter-in-law, Nelda Landry Rogers; 34 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren; 65 great great grandchildren; and one great great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus P. Rogers; three children, Harold Rogers, Alvoid Rogers and Dudley Rogers (infant); her parents, Reme’ Lormand and Leontine Landry Lormand; five brothers, Noah, Mayonce, Lionel, Allen and Dudley Lormand; six sisters, Mayella Rogers, Anna Mae Dugas, Cebie Patin, Annabelle Hardy, Ozelia Guidry and Ladonia Thibodeaux; one granddaughter, Jennifer Franks; and two great grandsons, Mark Rogers Jr. and Glenn Ray Perkins Jr. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visiting will resume at Ibert’s Friday at Ibert’s, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, in Franklin. ===================
