ST. ROMAIN, AUDREY 

Audrey St. Romain died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 10:20 a.m. in her residence 
in Fordoche after a long battle with cancer. She was 76, a homemaker, a native 
of Fordoche and former resident of Amelia.

Visitation will be at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Livonia Tuesday, 
May 22, 2012, from 8 a.m. until a Mass of Christian burial at noon. 
Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Cecil “Nootsie” St. Romain of 
Fordoche; siblings, Earline Fontenot, Rufus Smith and wife Leonie, Bessie 
Rinaudo and husband S.J., Lucy Bates, Lorita Doucet and husband L.C., Ulysses 
“Toot” Smith Jr. and wife Mary, Georgia Johnson and husband Richard, and Sylvia 
Perricone and husband Nick; foster family, Belinda Landry Arceneaux and husband 
Jules of Morgan City, Gwen Landry Hidalgo and husband Glen of Bayou Vista, Lisa 
Landry La Combe and husband David of Youngsville and Mrs. Gerald (Gertrude) 
Prestenbach of Morgan City; numerous nieces and great-nieces; and nephews and 
great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses and Edna Gros Smith; and 
mother-in-law and father-in-law, Olivia and Eusebe St. Romain.

She loved gardening, flowers and taking care of her husband and everybody.

All memorial donations will be forwarded to the Janell Lacombe Cancer Fund.
