All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= NOTE: If a Photo is available for an obituary record, a reference note will be included with the record. ======================================================================= TRAHAN, CLARENCE Clarence Trahan, 78, a resident of Terrebonne Parish and native of Gray, La., died Friday, May 25, 2012 at Oschner Medical Center in New Orleans, at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30 at Greater New Salem Baptist Church in Houma, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral will be Thursday, May 31, at 11 a.m. and burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery in Theriot, La. Clarence was baptized into the Baptist faith at St. Luke Baptist Church of Dularge at a very young age and later became a member of the Greater New Salem Baptist Church of Houma. He was a well respected as a Cement Finisher by his many clients for over 30 years. In addition, he enjoyed visiting with family and friends and his favorite hobby was fishing. Clarence leaves loving and fond memories in the hearts of his wife, Nettie Ray Trahan; his children, Roland Charles Trahan and wife, Diane, of Houma, Gwinette Patrice Pierce and husband, Lawrence, of Boutte; Sherita Lynne Oubere and husband, Cornelius, of Arnaudville; and Jerelyn Claire Key and husband, Perry of Baton Rouge; three stepchildren, Clara (Lisa) Johnson and husband, Daryl; Howard P. Short and wife, Kemery; and Madrone Short, all of Houma. He also leaves fond memories to two brothers, Leonard Trahan (Rosalie) of Houma and Clifton J. Trahan Sr. (Josie) of Arnaudville; four sisters, Mary Louise Williams (Adrain) of Gibson; Josephine Bonvillain (the late Willie II) of Houma; Deleria Stovall (Roosevelt); and Barbara Boseman (Lloyd), both of New Iberia; and a host of relatives and friends. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Leonce Trahan and Lillian Stewart Trahan. Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City/ Franklin/ Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements. ===================
