WATSON, CALVIN, SR.

Mr. Calvin Watson Sr., 79, a resident of Jeanerette and native of Franklin, 
died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 3:45 p.m., at his residence following a short 
illness.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at St. 
Joseph Baptist Church in the St. Joseph Community.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 2 p.m., at that church, with the Rev. 
Ronald C. Young. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Rosella L. Human Watson of Jeanerette; four 
daughters, Verna Mae Martin of Los Angeles, California, Wanda Hillard, Gail 
Jackson and Joyce Boatman of Franklin; two brothers, David Watson and the Rev. 
Charlie Watson Jr. of Franklin; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one brother.

Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
