Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on today, Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a service of remembrance at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 8 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Morgan City Cemetery. A native of Morgan City and a resident of Maurice, Ms. Aucoin died at 4:13 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at a Lafayette hospital. She was devoted to her church and her faith in God and was known for her love for her family and doing puzzles. Carol Joy was a surrogate mother to all her nieces and nephews. She is survived by two brothers, Albert Aucoin and Steve Aucoin Sr. both of Houma; three sisters, Azelie Breaux of Leroy, Laura Fontenot of Bayou L’Ourse and Patricia Bergeron of Erath; 15 nephews, A.J. Aucoin, Don Aucoin, Troy Aucoin, Steve Aucoin Jr., Jules Daigle Jr., Ralph Daigle, David Daigle, Albert Daigle, Ervin Fontenot, Billy Fontenot, Robert Fontenot, Richard Fontenot, Reid Lombas, Jesse Lombas and Joseph Bergeron; six nieces, Eve Aucoin, Desirée Aucoin, Susanna Justilian, Lisa Hebert, Cindy Aucoin, and Melissa Lombas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilday and Ada Oliver Aucoin; a sister, Laura Mae Hanson; and a niece, Antoinette Aucoin. Serving as pallbearers in Abbeville will be Reid Lombas, Jesse Lombas, Steve Aucoin Sr., A.J. Aucoin, Joey Daigle and Don Aucoin. Serving as pallbearers in Morgan City will be Tippy Lovell Jr., Chad Lovell, Ervin Fontenot, Lynwood Aucoin, A.J. Hebert and Troy Aucoin. ===================
