FITCH, KATHLEEN L. 

Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Rillius P. Fitch Jr., the former 
Kathleen LaGarde, 84, at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at St. John the 
Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment 
will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, June 25, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a 
Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 
service time.

A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Fitch died Sunday, June 24, 
2012, at 1:54 a.m., at Maison Teche Nursing Center.

Mrs. Fitch was owner/operator of the Frances Hotel and Fitch’s Drive Inn for 
many years. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Rillius P. Fitch III of Franklin; Frances F. 
“Chi Chi” Hebert and husband, Rudy, of Jeanerette; Kathleen F. Landry and 
husband, Gerry, of New Iberia; and Mona F. Hebert and husband, Norman, of 
Lydia; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great great 
grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rillius P. Fitch Jr.; parents, Edmond 
Andrew and Frances D’Anna LaGarde; one brother, Edmond Danna LaGarde; and a 
son-in-law, Barry J. Boudreaux.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Hebert, Gerry Landry, Norman Hebert, Craig Hebert, 
David Boudreaux and Norman Hebert II.

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnathan, Scott and Matthew Hebert, Edmond D. 
LaGarde Jr. and Craig LaGarde.

David Funeral Home, 400 Provost St., Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
