Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Fr. Thomas Vu of St. Jules Catholic Church will officiate the services. Merrill was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her home and her pets. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Assumption and Ladies Altar Society. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Frank J. Gorman of Franklin; three children, Frankie P. Gorman of Plaquemine, Kim Gorman of Franklin and Michael A. Gorman and his wife, Barbara, of Franklin; four grandchildren, Hannah G. Steiner and her husband, Jacob, of Franklin; Eric M. Gorman and his wife, Angelique, of Franklin; Marissa Gorman of Verdunville and her fiancé, Anthony Verrette, of Patterson; and Kimberly Gorman of Franklin, five great grandchildren, Evan, Dylan and Clara Steiner, Giuseppe Gorman and Kyson Gorman; two sisters, Beryl Louviere of Centerville and Carol Bull of Junction, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Belanger Sr.; her mother and stepfather, Josephine Zimmerman Belanger Hebert and Emile “Buck” Hebert; and an infant brother, Arthur Belanger Jr. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at the Church of Assumption, from 11 a.m. until Mass time, at 1 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 12:30 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Frankie Gorman, Michael Gorman, Kim Gorman, Eric Gorman, Jacob Steiner and Anthony Verrette. ===================
