HAWKINS, CHESTER 

Chester Hawkins, 51, a resident and native of Houma, died Tuesday at his Houma 
residence at 3:45 p.m.

Visitation was today at First Corinthians Baptist Church, 1114 Church St., in 
Houma, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial was in the 
Southdown Cemetery.

Survivors include four brothers, Thomas Hawkins Jr. of California, James 
Hawkins and Thomas Hawkins III, both of Houston, and Leonard Brown of Dallas; 
three sisters, JoAnn Hawkins Taplet of Raceland, Teresa Hawkins of Modesto, 
Calif., and Catherine Lawson of Houma; and a host of relatives and friends.

Chester was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City was in charge of arrangements.
