Bro. Ronnie Cullvillier officiated the funeral service. Interment was in St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. John was an exceptional man who was well-loved and respected by his family, friends, and co-workers. He was respectful and considerate of the feelings of others and his love had no boundaries — his love was unconditional. John had a strong belief and faith in God — he loved God above all else and was devoted to reading his scriptures daily. John was mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything and he was just as skilled in the craft of carpentry as well. In his free time, John enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and he most especially loved spending time with his family. John was well-known to be a “baby whisperer” — he could calm infants and children just by softly whispering in their ears. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Shelia M. Henson of Carencro; his son, B.J. (Carissa) Thibodeaux of Morgan City; four daughters, Kristi (Chris) Berthelot of Coteau Holmes, Tiffany (Presley) Turner of Mandeville, Traci (Whitney) Granger of Scott, and Lindsey (Seth) Anslen of Carencro; his brother, Ronald (Linda) Sercovich of Kenner; his sister, Ellen (Larry) Champagne of St. Martinville; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn Pfalzgraf Henson; his daughter, Bridget Henson; and his brother, Wayne Henson. Pallbearers were Larry Champagne Sr., Larry Champagne Jr., Cory Champagne, Ronald Sercovich, Whitney Granger, B.J. Thibodeaux, Presley Turner and Seth Anslen. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Berthelot and Michael Henson. Pellerin Funeral Home, 112 New Market St., St. Martinville, 337-294-9121, was in charge of arrangements. ===================
