LANCELIN, BARBARA J. 

Barbara L. Lancelin, 55, a resident of Franklin and native of Baldwin, died 
Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 1:45 a.m., at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She is survived by one son, Keithen Wanyel Parker Sr. of Humble, Texas; one 
daughter, Kanesha Lajoya Parker of Franklin; five brothers, Westley (Geraldine) 
Lancelin Sr. of New Iberia, Larry (Davita) Lancelin Sr. of Loreauville, Michael 
(Barbara) Lancelin Sr., Alfred (Linda) Lancelin Sr. and Wallace (Gail) Lancelin 
Sr., all of Baldwin; two sisters, Betty Lancelin of New Iberia and Donna 
Lancelin of Baldwin; and seven grandchildren.

Ms. Lancelin was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Visitations will be observed at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Baldwin 
Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Burial rites will be read Tuesday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with Elder 
Donald Lanceslin Sr. officiating. 
Interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery in Baldwin.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
