He was a welder and fitter in the shipbuilding industry for many years at both Scully Brother’s Boat Builders and Conrad Industries. His passion for the outdoors could be as simple as sitting outside enjoying a beautiful day. He also enjoyed listening and playing music. Life on earth ends … but memories last forever! Daniel is survived by his wife of 26 years and the loving mother of his four children, Mary Cavalier Scully; his daughters, Jenny Scully Bailey and her husband John Bailey Jr. of Morgan City, Jaime Scully of Morgan City, and Jan Marie Scully Cavalier and her husband, Deric Cavalier of Mississippi; his son, Daniel Scully Jr. of Morgan City; eight grandchildren, Jaron, Jahne, Alex, Jadan, Alana, Haley, Lanie and Khloe; and his brothers and sisters, Raymond, Bob, Ann, Wayne, Betty, Judy and Kenny and their spouses. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. He went on to Heaven to be with the ones who went before him, his grandparents, Wilbert and Clara Stephens; his mother, Joyce Stephens Scully; his father, Raymond Scully Sr.; a brother, Ronald Scully Sr.; a sister, Cheryl Scully Miller; a nephew, Gene Sweetser; two nieces, Heather Wedig and Laurie Scully; nephews, Joseph Charles Hinkle and Matthew Scully; and his godmother, Mearl Stephens Galloway. The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City with dismissal following the services. In keeping with Daniel’s wishes, cremation will follow funeral services. Pallbearers will be grandson, Jaron Bailey; brother, Wayne Scully; nephews, Bryan Scully, Jonathan Scully, Kenneth Scully Jr., and Mark O’Quinn. Our family would like to thank everyone involved with making his last days comfortable and for all the support everyone has given our family. ===================
