Paul was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Lake Verrett, the son of Clay Aucoin Sr. and Edola Solar. Paul loved to spend his time doing anything that involved being on a boat; he especially loved shrimping. Early in his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he also loved working in the yard. He was a member of Bayou Vista Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two children, Amanda Binion and husband Billy of Bayou Vista, and Bruce Aucoin and wife Debbie of Houston; nine grandchildren, Tara Sims, Leslie Johnson, Missy Foster and husband Brud, Megan Selten and husband Drew, Reba Notgrass, Lori Hebert and husband Chad, Curt Binion, Terri Morrison, and Tina Arns and husband Don; 18 great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Alfred Aucoin and wife Dot of Morgan City. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Clay Aucoin Sr. and Edola Solar Aucoin; his wife, Myrtle LaCoste Aucoin; two sisters, Hazel Connel and Rosa Mae Rock; one brother, Clay Aucoin Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Savana Johnson. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at 9 a.m. until the funeral services begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Paul will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery with military honors provided by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad. ===================
