BAKER, EDWARD, JR.

Mr. Edward Baker Jr., 68, a resident and native of Baldwin, died Friday, July 
13, 2012 at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City following a short 
illness.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Carter Baker of Baldwin; one son, Shawn 
Patrick Baker and wife, Joyce, of Katy Texas; two daughters, DeShawn R. Brooks 
and husband, John, of Lafayette and Andre’ M. Baker and Sidney of Charenton; 
one brother, Leo C. Baker and wife, Audrey, of Baldwin; one sister, Hazel B. 
Jones of Baldwin; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, July 21, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Otis 
Mortuary Chapel.

Burial rites will be read Saturday at 12 p.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. 
W.J. Otis officiating. 
Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Charenton.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
