March 21, 1943 — July 30, 2012 Glenn E. Broussard Sr., 69, a resident of Berwick, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, at his home. Glenn was born on March 21, 1943, in Morgan City, the son of Sterling and Annie Mae Breaux Broussard. Glenn was a man who loved being outdoors fishing, hunting and tending to his garden. He was an avid sports fan, following the LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints and New York Yankees. He loved spending time with his family but especially his grandchildren. He never met a stranger and was never afraid to speak his mind. Glenn was a parishioner of St. Stephen Catholic Church. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three children, Glenn E. Broussard Jr. and wife Vickie of Bayou Vista, Denise Doherty and husband Bobby of Ponchatoula, and Dwayne Broussard and wife Arika of Berwick; five grandchildren, Megan Broussard of Bayou Vista, Seth Doherty and wife Angela of Ponchatoula, Brittany Bella and husband Blaise of Kingsport, Tenn., Houston Doherty of Ponchatoula, and Dwayne Broussard II of Berwick; one great-grandson, Kaleb Doherty of Ponchatoula; and one brother, Shelton Broussard and wife Barbara of Morgan City. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Annie Mae Breaux Broussard; his wife, Wesley Ann Broussard; and one grandson, Devin Doherty. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at St. Stephen Catholic Church hall with a Rosary being said at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume from 8 a.m. until the time of Mass Wednesday at the church hall. Glenn will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Doherty, Glenn E. Broussard Jr., Dwayne Broussard, Seth Michael Doherty, Houston Doherty and Dwayne Broussard II. ===================
