FISHER, J.D. JR.
Feb. 26, 1944 — July 16, 2012

J.D. Fisher Jr., 68, a resident of Bunkie, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, 
at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.

J.D. was born Feb. 26, 1944, in Jenks, Okla., the son of J.D. Fisher Sr. and 
Faye Beach Fisher.

He was a true Christian cowboy who loved his family and his horses. He was a 
very simple man who loved living a simple life in the country. His smile, laugh 
and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

J.D. will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Suzanne Aucoin 
Fisher of Morgan City; a daughter, Gaylene Varnam and husband Robert of Morgan 
City; one son, Curt Fisher Sr. and companion Chanda Sanson of Morgan City; his 
mother, Faye Beach Fisher of Scott; five grandchildren, Brandon Varnam and 
fiancé Stephanie Scott, Candice Varnam, Brittney Fisher, Bryan Fisher and Curt 
Fisher Jr.; one step-grandchild, Tyler Campbell; one great-granddaughter, Jayle 
Fisher and another on the way he was looking forward to spoiling rotten. He is 
also survived by two sisters, Wanda Smith Seaton and Ruby Joyce Festervand.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Fisher Sr.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, 
in the Morgan City Cemetery 
with Pastor Ronnie Cuvillier officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Higher Ground 
Family Church
