GRIFFIN, DAVID L. 
December 12, 1940 — July 21, 2012

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Ibert’s 
Mortuary in Patterson for Mr. David L. Griffin, 71, a native of Salem, W.V., 
and resident of Bayou Vista, who passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012, at his 
home. 
Burial will follow in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Centerville.

David was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, having served for 20 
years, until retiring in 1979.

Survivors include his wife, May Bell Hammons Griffin of Bayou Vista; two sons, 
David Hanagriff and his wife Angie, and Randy Hanagriff and his wife Desi, all 
of Centerville; two daughters, Kari H. Purser and her husband Robert of 
Opelousas, and Linda H. Scimio and her husband Thomas “Dago” of Centerville; 
one brother, Gary Griffin of Riverview, Mich.; nine grandchildren; his former 
wife, Anna Hanagriff of Centerville; one stepson, Tony Teague of Bayou Vista; 
one stepdaughter, Tina Teague of Bayou Vista; two stepgrandchildren; and three 
step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Wilma Bode Griffin; one 
sister, Donita Griffin; and three stepchildren, Wanda Faye Teague, Ralph 
Anthony Teague and Mark Teague.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at Ibert’s Mortuary in 
Patterson from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, 1111 Lia Street, 
Patterson
