JENKINS, BARBARA 

Barbara B. Jenkins, 65, a resident and native of Franklin, died Sunday, July 1, 
2012, at 8:50 p.m., at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

She is survived by one son, Herbert Jenkins Jr. of Broussard; three daughters, 
Pamela Frazier of Dallas, Paula Jenkins of Franklin and Desiree’ Simon of 
Loreauville; one stepdaughter, LaTarshia Mack of Arlington, Texas; three 
brothers, Spencer Brooks and Allen Brooks, both of Franklin, and Melvin Brooks 
of Port Arthur, Texas; two sisters, Mary Eley of Brooklyn, New York and Flora 
J. Brooks of Franklin; 18 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitations will be observed at Otis Mortuary Chapel Saturday, July 7, from 10 
a.m. to 11 a.m.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with Elder 
Williams officiating.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
